Ceramics & Tiles

The ceramics industry is one of the largest consumers of industrial minerals globally. Kaolin, Feldspar, and Quartz form the fundamental raw material triad for virtually every ceramic product — from floor tiles and wall tiles to sanitaryware, porcelain tableware, and technical ceramics. GeoCore Minerals supplies all three directly from Rajasthan's mineral belts.

Minerals We Supply
China Clay (Kaolin)
Ceramic body plasticity, firing stability, whiteness
Potash Feldspar
Flux — lowers firing temperature, improves glaze finish
Quartz / Snow Quartz
Structural filler, thermal stability, dimensional accuracy
Bentonite Clay
Plasticiser and binder in ceramic body preparation
🏠
Floor & Wall Tiles
Kaolin and Feldspar dominate tile body formulations — consistency in Fe₂O₃ and whiteness directly impacts fired colour.
🚿
Sanitaryware
High-purity Kaolin and Potash Feldspar required for the casting slip and vitreous glaze used in bathroom products.
🍽️
Tableware & Porcelain
Snow Quartz and high-brightness Kaolin preferred for premium porcelain requiring exceptional whiteness and translucency.

Glass Manufacturing

Glass is approximately 70–75% silica by weight — making Silica Sand and high-purity Quartz the single most critical raw material input. Low Fe₂O₃ content is essential to produce colourless or lightly tinted glass. Soda Feldspar contributes sodium as a flux, reducing the melting point and energy consumption. GeoCore supplies all primary glass batch minerals.

Minerals We Supply
Silica Sand
Primary glass former — 70–75% of batch by weight
Snow Quartz
Ultra-low Fe₂O₃ for premium clear & optical glass
Soda Feldspar
Sodium flux — lowers melting point, improves clarity
🍾
Container Glass
Bottles, jars, and food-grade containers — Fe₂O₃ limits of 0.03–0.08% typically required for flint (clear) glass.
🏢
Flat & Float Glass
Windows, mirrors, and architectural glass — consistent grain size and low contamination essential for continuous melting.
🔬
Specialty & Optical Glass
Snow Quartz with SiO₂ 99.5%+ and Fe₂O₃ below 0.02% used for laboratory glass, solar panels, and optics.

Construction

Construction is one of the largest consumers of natural stone and industrial minerals worldwide. Marble and Granite serve premium architectural and interior applications; Limestone is a fundamental input for cement manufacturing; Silica Sand goes into concrete and plaster aggregates. GeoCore supplies construction-grade minerals and natural stone in blocks, slabs, tiles, and cut-to-size formats.

Minerals We Supply
Marble (Makrana & others)
Flooring, cladding, countertops, facades, monuments
Granite
High-traffic flooring, exterior cladding, countertops
Limestone
Cement manufacturing, construction aggregates
Silica Sand
Concrete filler, plaster aggregate, block making
🏨
Hotels & Luxury Residential
Makrana White Marble — the stone of the Taj Mahal — is specified for premium lobbies, bathrooms, and feature walls.
🏗️
Commercial Buildings
Granite's high compressive strength (130–220 MPa) and scratch resistance make it preferred for high-traffic commercial floors.
🏭
Cement Industry
Limestone with CaCO₃ 85–97% is added to cement clinker as corrective material, influencing kiln burnability and clinker phase composition.

Steel & Foundries

Iron ores are the foundational raw material for global steel production — the world's most produced metal. GeoCore supplies Iron Ore, Hematite, and Magnetite from India's major ore belts, plus Bentonite for foundry sand binding and iron ore pelletization. Magnetite's unique magnetic properties also make it the preferred medium for coal washing (DMS).

Minerals We Supply
Iron Ore
Blast furnace & DRI — primary steel making input
Hematite (Fe₂O₃)
High Fe content ore for steel, cement, pigments
Magnetite (Fe₃O₄)
DMS coal washing, pelletization, radiation shielding concrete
Bentonite Clay
Green sand binder for foundry casting, pellet binder
🏭
Steel Manufacturing
Iron Ore and Hematite charged into blast furnaces or DRI kilns — Fe% content and gangue levels directly determine yield and energy consumption.
⛏️
Coal Washing (DMS)
Magnetite's high SG (4.9–5.2) and strong magnetic recovery make it the global standard medium for dense media separation of coal.
⚙️
Foundry Casting
Bentonite binds sand grains in green sand molds — Sodium Bentonite preferred for its higher swelling index and bond strength.

Paints & Coatings

Industrial mineral fillers are essential components of paint formulations — they extend titanium dioxide (the primary white pigment), improve coating consistency, control gloss, prevent settling, and enhance durability. Talc, Kaolin, and fine Quartz powder are the three most widely used mineral fillers in architectural and industrial paints worldwide.

Minerals We Supply
Soapstone (Talc)
Flatting agent, anti-settling, improved film formation
China Clay (Kaolin)
Extender pigment, semi-matte finish, opacity
Quartz (fine powder)
Hardness, scratch resistance in industrial coatings
🏠
Architectural Paints
Talc and Kaolin used at 5–25% loading to extend TiO₂, control gloss level, and improve film build in interior and exterior wall paints.
🚗
Industrial & Automotive Coatings
Fine Quartz powder improves hardness and abrasion resistance in industrial floor coatings, marine paints, and primer systems.
🔧
Powder Coatings
Kaolin and Talc used as extenders in powder coating formulations for metal furniture, appliances, and architectural metalwork.

Cosmetics & Pharma

High-purity Talc (Soapstone) and Kaolin are among the most widely used mineral ingredients in cosmetics, personal care products, and pharmaceutical formulations. Their softness, chemical inertness, and skin-feel properties make them irreplaceable in powders, foundations, and pharmaceutical excipients. GeoCore supplies cosmetic-grade minerals subject to additional purity testing and applicable certification requirements.

Minerals We Supply
Soapstone (Talc)
Face powder, body powder, foundation, pressed compacts
China Clay (Kaolin)
Facial masks, absorbent powders, pharmaceutical excipients
💄
Face & Body Powders
Talc's lamellar structure gives cosmetic powders their characteristic slip and soft skin feel — a property not easily replicated by alternative fillers.
🧴
Skincare & Masks
Kaolin's absorbent properties make it the active ingredient in facial clay masks, oil-control products, and pore-cleansing formulations.
💊
Pharmaceutical Excipients
USP-grade Talc and Kaolin used as tablet lubricants, anti-caking agents, and coating materials in pharmaceutical manufacturing — subject to full certification.
Important Note
Cosmetic and pharmaceutical-grade minerals require additional purity testing, asbestos-free certification, and relevant regulatory compliance. Please specify your grade requirements and destination country at inquiry stage.
